CMU has a new PRESIDENT!

Dr. Maria Luisa Rupac Soliven of Laur, Nueva Ecija yesterday was elected by the CMU Board of Regents as the 8th President of the university. She also holds the distinction of being the First Lady President. Currently she is the Vice-President for Academic Affairs. Previously, she was then Dean of the College of Agriculture and was also the First Lady Dean of the College of Agriculture.

The CMU community prayed for God's anointed. Congratulations Ma'am Malou. We are behind you. Continue to have a servant's heart. We pray that God keeps you safe from all harm and evil. May He give you wisdom, more than what He gave Solomon. May God be your closest advisor. Cheers!

An open letter to the CMU Alumni...

Dear Alumni,

One of the things that had been discussed since last year, especially that CMU will celebrate its centennial year on September this year, is how we can actively involve the alumni for the continuous growth of the university as it starts its second century. You are one of the most important stakeholders of the university.

The LTLO has in the pipeline, some projects that you, perhaps, would be interested to support. A few weeks from now, we will unveil these plans. We strongly believe that we are one in heart, mind, and spirit to see our beloved university go more distance.

As it had nurtured you when you were here for some years, it is banking on your generosity and commitment to help your Alma Mater continue to nurture the present and future students who seek to grow in its environs.

Sincerely,

JMJamago, Director-LTLO

Another step towards growth...

This is what we believe the new Linkages and Technology Licensing Office (LTLO) is about. The university is taking another step towards growth and development. It is high time to establish an office that would consolidate all its efforts in partnership establishment. Aside from which, an arm that would actively source out partnerships.

Its dual function is to review technologies generated from CMU researchers that could be potentially licensed. Hence, it is our job to help facilitate these things.

Overall, it is our hope that we serve the university well. So kindly let us know how we may serve you. You can email us (cmulinkages@gmail.com) or just post a comment in this blog.

Cheers all!

Joy Membreve Jamago, Ph.D.
Director, LTLO
